After years of research, writing and editing, Possessed: A history of Law and Justice in the Crown Colony of Lagos 1861-1906’, by Olasupo Shasore SAN, was officially launched to the world at City Hall, Lagos Island amidst fanfare, passionate discussion and a sense of renewed appreciation for the origins of Lagos.
Several dignitaries, journalists and history lovers were in attendance. The Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, who had written the foreword to the book was the special guest of honour, Oba Rilwan Akiolu I along with his white cap chiefs, Senator Mamora representing Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Former Foreign Affairs Minister; Odein Ajumogobia, Former Federal Commissioner for Works; Alhaji Femi Okunnu, Alhaji Hassan Babatunde Fashinro, legal officials and other top government officials graced the event.
The launch was emceed by Chico Chukwuma Ahgwekwe, from ClassicFM while the moderator for the book discussion was Aderonke Adebanjo.
The panels of discussants were Chucks Oluigbo, Oluwaseun Olaniyan, Jide Bello and Angela Ajetunmobi Mukoro.
